Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
We join families and friends in this walk to celebrate survivors, support those in treatment, and remember the lives lost to breast cancer. We know tobacco use affects every organ of the body and is complicit in at least 14 cancers. Smoking may interfere with breast cancer treatment, causing damage to lungs from radiation therapy, making healing more difficult after surgery and reconstruction, and adding a higher risk of blood clots when taking hormonal therapy medicines.
